The Sworn of the Goddess
When the Paladins of the Society of Harmony resigned their positions and joined with their Non Afiliated brethren, they all answered a call that sang within them. All have described it as being a single female voice calling them by name, and all of them instinctively knew that as Korvaio had indeed died as rumour had it, he has been (or will be) succeeded by his descendent, a Goddess whose name they do not yet know. They congregated to several meeting places in the western lands of Accitaine, and there, something seems to have occurred, for now the Paladins are fanatically devoted like never before. Their own numbers are near on 2000, but they have also been joined by the entirety of the Order of the Star (a religious Cavalier order with long ties and alliances to the Paladins), and also many warriors and soldiers of pious disposition who have joined after speaking to the assembled Paladins and Cavaliers.
Clergy have also joined, forsaking their Society or Non Afiliated vows to fight in the Unnamed Goddess’ name, and their numbers have swelled to over 20000, and more flock to the banner of a Winged Woman every day. They are led by a trio of notables, with Lady Isbet Koryull, former Lord Commander of the Hand of the Society commanding the Infantry and artillery, the second being the Chevalier Alain de Vassi-Darra (the Knight Commander of the Order of the Star) who commands the cavalry and the third being non other than the revered and legendary Arnaud de Valuac, former Grand Marshall of Serroya, universally regarded as the greatest living Great Captain, and the Marshall who advises strategy and is the effective first amongst equals in their trio of command.
The movement gathers momentum, for they have opposed the Undead whenever they were able, preach that the Society is corrupt at best and infiltrated by evil at worst, and that there is hope for the future, a powerful message in times such as these.
